What should I bring to the consultation?
A complete list of your medications and supplements, your insurance details, and any imaging you have already had. If the lump has changed over time and you have photographs of it, bring those too. They are more useful than most people expect.
Can the lipoma be removed on the day of the consultation?
Sometimes, for a small straightforward subcutaneous lipoma, if the schedule allows and you are prepared for it. More often the consultation is for examination and planning, and the removal is booked shortly after. Tell us when you enquire if you would like to do both in one visit and we will try to arrange it.
Do you take my insurance?
We work with most major plans. Coverage depends on whether the removal is considered medically necessary, which generally means the lipoma is painful, growing, interfering with function, or diagnostically uncertain. Our office verifies your specific plan and tells you what to expect before anything is scheduled.
Can I send a photo before booking?
Yes, and we would prefer it. A clear photo, ideally with something for scale next to the lump, lets us give you a far more useful first answer than a description alone. Use the form above.
